Woman Stole Thousands From Woodbury Surgery Center Because of Gambling Addiction

Carol Scott was sentenced in the case.

A woman who bilked the Oral Surgery Center out of more than $240,000 while working in the Woodbury office as an account manager was sentenced to 59 days in jail.

Pionneer Press reported that Carol Scott pleaded guilty and admitted to taking the money to fuel a gambling addiction. In addition to the jail time, Scott agreed to repay more than $200,000.

Scott admitted taking the money over a two year period to co-workers and was fired in 2013.
