Woman, Toddler In Hospital After Being Hit By Car In Woodbury

The woman and her two children, one in a stroller, were struck by the car while walking with their dog in Woodbury.

WOODBURY, MN— A woman and a toddler were taken to the hospital after being hit by a car Tuesday night in Woodbury, according to police.

A total of three people were hit at Greenbriar Lane and Ashford Road, police said.

An 33-year-old woman and her two children, one in a stroller, were walking with their dog when they were hit from behind, police said.

The mother and her 3-year-old child were taken to Regions Hospital. The 1-year-old in the stroller and the dog were unharmed, police said.

The driver, who was cited for careless driving, said the setting sun was a factor in the incident, according to police. The driver showed no signs of impairment, police said.
