Woodbury To Begin Hydrant Flushing April 26

Residents may notice discolored water during this time.

WOODBURY, MN— Hydrant flushing in Woodbury will begin Monday, the city said.

This project will take about six weeks, and is done to make sure the hydrants are working properly, the city said.

The process may sometimes cause water discoloration for a few minutes at a time but can if this occurs, it can be expected to clear up within 10 minutes, the city said.

The water is safe to drink, but residents should check for signs for discoloration before washing white clothing, the city said.

Residents should let discolored water run for 20-30 minutes before calling the Public Works Department, the city said.
