Woodbury Recruit Not Happy with Firing of Tracy Claeys
East Ridge High School running back Dominik London was shocked when he learned that Tracy Claeys had been fired.

On Tuesday, Tracy Claeys was fired as the University of Minnesota football coach. With National Signing Day (Feb. 1) fast approaching, the Gophers are scrambling to find a replacement.
East Ridge High School running back Dominik London was shocked when he learned the news. “This is the first time I’ve heard of it,” London told the Pioneer Press. “Wow. I don’t know.”
London said he committed to the Gophers in June after he received interest from Wisconsin, Michigan State, Purdue and North Dakota State.

“Coach Claeys and Coach (Dan) O’Brien were the biggest reasons I chose Minnesota,” London said. “It’s a big blow to me.” London said if he doesn't like the new coach, he won't want to play for the Gophers.
Woodbury tight end Nathan Bursch, also a highly sought-after recruit, plans to stick with the Gophers.
