Woodbury's CityPlace Grand Opening: Concert, Festival
The long awaited 100-acre, mixed-use development in Woodbury will be celebrating with a summer kick-off concert and festival.

WOODBURY, MN — With all retailers now open at Woodbury’s CityPlace, the long awaited 100-acre, mixed-use development will be celebrating with a summer kick-off concert and festival open to the public on Thursday, June 29 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“As the first phase of our project, CityPlace’s retail represents an important milestone for the overall development,” stated Kaylee McCall Correa, Manager of Corporate Communications at Elion Partners, the owners behind CityPlace. “We want to share and celebrate this special moment with the community, and encourage everyone to come out and see all that CityPlace has to offer.”
CityPlace retailers, restaurants and tenants will be on hand throughout the festival offering giveaways, raffle prizes and food samplings to festival goers. The evening will include a headlining performance by country artist Chris Hawkey, and opening performances by hip hop, reggae and ska group Dred I Dread, and cover rock band My Famous Friends, according to a news release.

Located on the corner of Radio Drive and Hudson Road in Woodbury, CityPlace tenants include anchor tenant Whole Foods Market, along with Nordstrom Rack, Sur La Table, La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings and Décor, Sierra Trading Post, Verizon Wireless, Café Zupas, Naf Naf Grill, Bank of America, Wedding Day Diamonds, Caribou Coffee, Einstein Bagels, Mattress Firm, Potbelly Sandwich Shoppe, Qdoba Mexican Grill, Piada Italian Street Food and TU Nails.
The mixed-use development also includes a 116-room Residence Inn by Marriott, Spire Credit Union and Tria Orthopaedic Center.
