Inmate Escapes From Franklin County Jail
Ricky Johnson was working in the jail's kitchen when a civilian worker coming in a back door inadvertently gave him a way out.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO — Police are searching for an inmate who escaped from the Franklin County Jail in Union, Missouri, Wednesday morning. Fox 2 St. Louis reports a civilian entering the jail through a back door inadvertently let Ricky A. Johnson, Jr., 37, escape. He was last seen running north east away from the jail.
Johnson was being held for violating probation and had been assigned to work in the jail's kitchen. He was initially charged with burglary and other property crimes.
Johnson was last seen wearing blue pants and a white T-shirt. He is white, 6 feet tall, and weights 160 lbs. He has brown hair, blue eyes and a goatee.
