Missouri Solar Eclipse 2017: Where To Watch
Check out where to watch the total solar eclipse in Missouri on Aug. 21.

Make your way to one of Missouri's eclipse hot spots for optimum viewing and maximum entertainment for the whole family. Try your hand at farm-themed bingo at Total Eclipse of the Fair, spend the night under the stars at the Missouri State Fairgrounds or explore antique tractors and trains before the eclipse at the Steam & Gas Engine Show.
Here are three spots across the state that are perfect for watching the 2017 total solar eclipse:
#1 Total Eclipse of the Fair - The Trails End Landmark is in the middle of the the eclipse belt and is predicted to be one of the prime viewing spots for this celestial phenomenon. Bring the whole family for horseback riding on the KATY trail, cow patty bingo, food trucks and several live music stages. The gates open at 10:30 a.m. You can reserve your spot in cow patty bingo ahead of time. Tickets for Total Eclipse of the Fair start at $20.17.

#2 Missouri State Fairground - If you're looking to dive head-first into the solar eclipse experience, consider spending the night at the Missouri State Fairground. The Fairground Foundation has campsite locations available for rent. You can reserve a campsite online. Reservation fees start at $25.
#3 Steam & Gas Engine Show - Call it a celestial coincidence, but the solar eclipse overlaps with an annual Missouri event presented by the Northwest Missouri Steam & Gas Engine Association. In honor of the moon blocking the sun momentarily, the festival will hold a pre-eclipse jamboree from 9 a.m.-noon on Monday, Aug. 21. You can reserve a campsite at the auto show ahead of time. Single-day admission starts at $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
