Joseph William Orosco, Sr.
Joseph William Orosco, Sr., a lifelong resident of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was born on June 25, 1928 to Lorenzo and Mary Louise (Ortiz) Orosco. He was a lifetime member of Ingalls Park A.C and a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Joseph was a hardworking man who retired from GAF Roofing after more than 30 years of dedicated service. He was an avid fisherman and loved watching baseball, especially the Chicago White Sox. Joseph loved telling stories, had an infectious smile and will be missed by everyone he knew.

Joseph is survived his wife of 67 years, Vivian (Rodriguez) Orosco; his children JoAnn (David) Remko of Minooka, IL, Susan (Richard) Cervantes of Manchester, TN, Joseph (Karen) Orosco, Jr. of Reeds Spring, MO, Patricia (Gordon) Latz of Joliet, IL; five grandchildren, Juliann (John) Wilsterman, Cathryn Westbrooks, Nichole Watt, John (Carolynne) Latz, and Andrew (Katie) Orosco; 11 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Mary (the late Rutilio) Suarez, Virginia Pollaro, Barbara (Victor) Cervantes and Rita Orosco; his in-laws, Andrew (Mela) Rodriguez and Jenny Parks; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends also survive.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rodolfo Orosco.

Funeral Services for Joseph William Orosco, Sr. will be Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, IL to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
