Affton Pain Doctor Accused of Molesting Patients
The pain management doctor reportedly molested two patients, and police think there could be more.

AFFTON, MO — Abhishek Jain, a St. Louis County doctor, has been charged with sexual abuse and sodomy after two patients accused him of molesting them, CBS St. Louis reports. Police say the women did not know each other and reported the incidents separately. One was treated at Jain's office in Affton and another at his office in Florissant. Jain works for Interventional Pain management Services.
Both women, who were in their 60s, were being treated for chronic pain and both described similar assaults, with Jain groping their breasts and genitals during an exam.
The Post-Dispatch reports Jain was put on probation in 2008 for issues regarding his professionalism, after being fired from a residency program at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. He has also been accused of lying on an application for a medical license in Kansas and was denied a surgeon's license in California. In addition, he was accused of assault at least once before by a former co-worker. Despite his record, the State of Missouri granted Jain a medical license in 2016, but placed him on four years probation.
