Affton junior, Anthony Herron has been named the Suburban East Conference player of the year, the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports.
The infielder, who plays shortstop and pitches, hit .565 with 12 doubles, one triple, one homer, 16 RBI, 24 runs, .620 OBP and .839 slugging percentage.
As a pitcher, he wasd 4-6 with 2.85 ERA and 76 strikeouts in 51 2/3 innings.
