Credit Card Fraud Committed at Value City Furniture, Police Say

Shrewsbury Police responded to the following incidents at the end of January, according to the weekly police blotter:
Saturday, Jan. 26
At 9 a.m., Shrewsbury police filed a Passing a Bad Check report regarding a High Ridge man who tried to use the check to pay a fine. The suspect didn't respond to a letter from the municipal court, police said, and he is wanted for questioning.

Monday, Jan. 28
At 9 a.m., an intoxicated man was subdued in the 7500 block of Triwoods Drive after threatening to harm himself and others. He was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.

Tuesday, Jan. 29
At 11 a.m., an Illinois man fraudulently used a credit card to pay for $480 worth of furniture at Value City Furniture, police said. The cardowner lives in South Carolina, and the suspect lives in Illinois. He is wanted for questioning.
