Epworth to Host Third Annual Horses & Hats Derby Party

Epworth Children & Family Services will hold its third annual Horses & Hats Derby Party on Sat., May 2 from 3 to 7 p.m. The fundraiser will be held at The Legends Country Club located at 625 The Legends Pkwy. in Eureka, Mo. Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit’s programs and services.

The watch party includes a live viewing of the Kentucky Derby, a raffle and silent auction, and a contest for the best hat and bowtie. Guests will enjoy a wide array of derby-themed appetizers, as well as an open bar featuring bourbon tastings, bourbon pulls and mint juleps.

Founded in 1864, Epworth Children & Family Services is a multiservice agency that helps at-risk and in-need children, youth, and families move toward self-sufficiency by focusing on health, housing, education, and employment. Epworth provides foster care case management, residential and intensive treatment, psychological evaluation, in-home family therapy, emergency shelter services, transitional and independent living, homeless youth outreach, drop-in center and clinical services, life skills and vocational training, and a 24-hour crisis help-line.
