Man, Woman Shot In Shrewsbury Home Thursday Night

SHREWSBURY, MO — Police say a man and woman in their 70s were shot in their home Thursday evening in Shrewsbury. The man was dead when police arrived. The woman was taken to a hospital with at least one gunshot wound. Patch has been unable to confirm her condition, but KMOV reports she later died.
Police say the shooting happened in the 7800 block of Garden Avenue around 6 p.m. According to Channel 4, police got a call reporting that a 75-year-old woman was attempting to kill herself by overdosing on pain medication. It's not clear who made the call.
Police are investigating the shooting as a murder-suicide.
