New Clothing Store Now Open in Affton

A new women's clothing store is bringing the latest fashions to Affton. 

Rainbow Shops recently opened in the former home of Fashion Bug at 9523 Gravois Rd. 

As Patch previously reported, 600 Fashion Bug shops across the country closed in early 2013 after the parent company was acquired earlier this year.

Rainbow carries items for children, juniors, plus-size fashion and a wide variety of shoes. 

According to the website, the boutique got its start in New York in 1935 and today has grown to include two sister brands and stores in 37 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. 

"We firmly believe that every woman, regardless of shape or size, should enjoy fun, fashionable, and feminine clothing at an affordable price," states the Rainbow Shops website. 

The boutique is headquartered in Brooklyn, NY.

• Sunday: 12-5 p.m. 
• Monday-Saturday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
