Police: Purse Stolen From Car, City Cops Find Stolen GPS
Shrewsbury Police Department supplied the following police blotter. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

The handled the following incidents last week.
August 31
Police arrested an Arnold man on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a pedestrian check in the 7300 block of Watson Road. The suspect was issued a citation to appear in municipal court.

September 3
Police responded to a domestic disturbance at an apartment in the 7100 block of Weil Ave. An intoxicated man accused his girlfriend of knocking him over and taking his money. Police located the girlfriend across the street. She denied taking any money and accused her boyfriend of being verbally abusive. Police forwarded the report to the local prosecuting attorney.

September 5
A purse containing credit cards and cash was stolen out of a Ford Explorer in the parking lot of Power House Gym at 7435 Watson Road. The thief broke the car window to grab the purse between 7:15 and 8:20 p.m. The victim’s credit card was taken to a QuikTrip at 8200 Watson Road. Police are investigating.
September 6
St. Louis Metropolitan Police detectives recovered a Garmin GPS device that had been reported stolen from a vehicle in the 7700 block of Suffolk Ave. on June 30. () The GPS device’s serial number matched the one stolen from Shrewsbury. The device was recovered during a robbery investigation in north St. Louis, and a St. Louis man is in custody for a parole revocation for robbery. Police found the GPS at the suspect’s residence in the 5100 block of Lotus Ave.
