Restaurant Opens Its Doors Monday, Bosnian Story Time on Saturday

The week ahead in Affton and Shrewsbury includes a new restaurant opening for lunch on Monday.

A restaurant opening in Affton, and music in the park in Shrewsbury are on tap for the week. Here are five things you might like to know about.

  1.  On Monday, the Clubhouse Bar & Grill opens its doors for the very first time at 11 a.m. for lunch. It’s at previous Ten Mile House location, 9420 Gravois Road. The kitchen is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
  2. On Friday, live music starts at 7 p.m. at the Sundown Park Party at Wehner Park in Shrewsbury. Admission is free so bring a blanket to sit on and enjoy!
  3. Also on Friday the American Legion Post 111, 7300 Lansdowne Avenue, holds a fish fry with Catfish, Cod, Jack Salmon, and Shrimp. Sides are coleslaw, hush puppies, French Fries, Baked Beans, and spaghetti. It starts at 11 a.m.
  4. Saturday, it’s Bosnian Story Time at the St Louis County Library, Weber Road Branch, 4444 Weber Road. It’s a great opportunity for children ages 3-5 to increase reading skills using their native language. 
  5. West Side Story, at the Muny in Forest Park, shows this week Monday through Aug. 11. Go to MetroTix.com at 314-534-1111 for tickets. It’s the last show of the summer.
