Serial Burglaries in Affton, Police Say
Police say to be vigilant, and call 911 if something looks suspicious.

St. Louis County Police—Affton Southwest Precinct are looking for serial burglary suspects who have broken into houses looking to steal electronics, recently near the intersection of Interstate 55 and Interstate 270. The police reported the crimes on Facebook.
The suspects are driving either a dark blue minivan or an older style SUV (similar to Jeep Cherokee), police say. The suspects ask residents if they need any yard work done. When it no one answers, they break in.
One victim, on Ambs Court, hid in her house when a suspect entered her house, according to the St. Louis County Facebook page. When she didn’t answer her front door, they kicked in her back door.

She described the suspect as a black male, 20-25 years old, clean shaven, with dreadlocked hairstyle.
In a similar crime, a neighbor of a victim, on Weber Trail, said a dark gray Ford Explorer backed into the driveway on Aug. 18. Two suspects stayed in the vehicle while two entered the house.

Police ask residents to be vigilant in watching, and immediately call 911 if anything suspicious is seen. Do not contact the individuals, just call police at 911.
