Arnold Offers Weekly Memberships to Farmers Market Vendors

Arnold Farmers' Market fees range from $10 to $200 depending on the vendors' need.

Vendors who want to sell at the City of Arnold's Farmers' Market have the option of being weekly, monthly or annual members.

"Vendors have always had the ability to attend for whatever amount of time they would like,"Arnold's Economic Development/Planner Dan Bish said in an email.

Vendors can pay $10 a week to participate in the market, $35 for an entire month, or $200 for the entire season, Bish said.

The 2011 season started on May 5 and is 25 weeks long.

The associated costs are a one-time $25 application fee and, if the vendor need eletricity, a $5 weekly utility fee.

"So for $35 they (vendors) can try the Arnold Farmers Market for one week, see if they like it and we can go from there," Bish said.

The city suggests vendors have general and product liability insurance, Bish said. Arnold Farmers' Market vendors who choose to sell without insurance must sign an agreement that says the City of Arnold is not responsible for any loss, damage, or legal liability.
