House Springs Driver Sentenced to Holiday Jail Time

Sharon Foster will spend the holidays away from her family as punishment for causing a wreck that killed a pregnant woman.

The Jefferson County Circuit Court sentenced Sharon Foster, 40, of House Springs to spend each holiday until 2014 in jail.

The punishment is for causing a car wreck on Christmas Eve 2008 that killed a pregnant mother of unborn twins, the stltoday.com website says.

The court's decison occured on Monday, May 14.

Foster was driving a pickup truck, at 70 mph, south on Highway W, when she crossed the center line and struck the sport utility vehicle carrying James and Kimberly Farrar, both were 24 at the time, the website says.

The Farrars were driving to Christmas Eve dinner.
