Imperial Mom Convicted in Beating of Son's Heroin Dealer
After two hours of deliberations jurors turned in a guilty verdict with tears in their eyes, FOX 2 reports.

An Imperial mother has been convicted for beating her son's heroin dealer with a baseball bat in December 2011.
Jurors turned in a guilty verdict with tears in their eyes after two hours of deliberations, according to our partners at FOX 2. Sherrie Gavan, 54, could face up to a year in jail for the misdemeanor third-degree assault charge.
Gavan admitted to hitting Josh Loyd with a baseball bat, the station reports. She says she did it because Loyd supplied her son Clayton with heroin and hounded him to keep using even after her son quit.
