Jefferson Regional Medical Center to Join Mercy Hospital

Mercy will likely acquire the Jefferson Regional by the end of the year.

Jefferson Regional Medical Center, a 251-bed hospital in Crystal City, MO will join Mercy hospital by the end of the year.

The industry is changing and the partnership will provide the latest technology and health care ideas to Jefferson County residents, Jefferson Regional’s board president said in a statement to the St. Louis Business Journal.

Mercy, a national Catholic health care provider with almost $4 billion in yearly revenue, will likely acquire Jefferson Regional which had $124.4 million in revenue for 2010.
