Photos: Familiar Faces at The Arnold Food Pantry's Building Announcement

Families, Union leaders, and Arnold government officials donated money, and helped announce the Arnold Food Pantry and Thrift Store's new building.

About a 100 people attended the Arnold Food Pantry and Thrift Store's May 31 fundraiser, at the Fox Service Center at 849 Jeffco Blvd., for a new 12,000 square foot building.

The Pantry's Director Kathy Flanigan and board members said the new building, in the 2000 block of Key West Drive, is about twice the size of the non-profit's current building at 25 Village Plaza. The new building's monthly mortgage, $1,950, is less than half the $4,400 cost of renting space in its smaller current location.

The non-profit hopes to raise about $450,000 in eight years to pay off the mortgage and complete all the needed renovations on the building.
