Police: Two Texas Women Held For Secret Service Interviews

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.

June 8

House Fire—The Rock Community Fire Protection District Department extinguished a house fire on Trinity Circle at 7:15 p.m. Firefighters contained the flames to a downstairs closet. Investigators determined the fire was an accident.

Driving While Influenced—The Arnold Police stopped the following people at the intersection of Jeffco Boulevard and Starling Road.

  • An Arnold woman, 34, faces charges of driving while influenced and endangering the public after Arnold police stopped her at Jeffco Boulevard and Starling Road at about 11 p.m. Police booked her and later released her to a sober driver.
  • Police stopped an Arnold man, 23, at 11:40 p.m. Tests indicated the man’s blood alcohol content was 0.158 percent. Police booked the man and later released him to a sober driver.
  • Also at 11:40 p.m., a 43-year-old St. Louis woman was stopped at the checkpoint. She refused to take a breath test and was released to a sober driver.
  • At 12:25 a.m., an Imperial man, 20, and a Festus woman, 19, face charges of possession of a controlled substance after police searched their vehicle.
  • At 2:06 a.m., officers arrested an Arnold man, 30, at the checkpoint. Tests said the man’s blood alcohol content was 0.073. Police booked the man and later released him to a sober driver.

June 9

Puppy Stolen—A Tenbrook Road resident, and pet owner, reported a pit bull puppy missing from its collar that was secured to a tree in the owner’s front yard. The owner said the dog disappeared between 2 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

Motorized Shopping Cart Taken—Two Arnold boys, ages 13 and 15, are accused of taking a motorized shopping cart from the parking lot, at 2201 Michigan Ave., at about 5:30 p.m. Police released the boys to their their parents and forwarded the case to the Jefferson County Juvenile Office.

Champagne Taken— store security, at 3900 Vogel Rd., detained an Imperial man, 22, for taking two bottles of Champagne without paying for them at about 7 p.m. The man returned the merchandise then fled on foot. Arnold police officers entered the wanted man’s description into the law enforcement database.

Stealing—Walmart security saw a man leave the store with  $150 in merchandise, without paying, at about 1:45 p.m. The man fled when security attempted to stop him. Police later found and arrested the suspect, a 24-year-old Arnold man, near Immaculate Conception Church.

Driving While Influenced, Fleeing the Scene of a Vehicle Wreck—An Imperial man, 25, fled a vehicle wreck after police asked whether the man consumed alcohol. Police caught the man, charged him with driving while influenced, resisting arrest and for previous traffic violations.

Methamphetamine Lab Components Found—Police found components of a methamphetamine lab after stopping an Arnold man, 25, who was seen driving off the road near the intersection of Carol Lane and Peerview Lane at about 10:30 p.m. Police found the lab components during a vehicle search. The driver and his passenger, a 23-year-old Arnold man, face drug charges and are wanted on other warrants, police said.

Driving While Influenced—Arnold police charged a St. Louis man, 43, with driving while influenced, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession at Highway 141 and Interstate 55 about 1 a.m. The man refused a breath test but police said they booked and later released him to a sober driver.

Leaving without Paying a Restaurant Bill—Arnold police charged six people for leaving without paying for their food bill at , 1203 Drury Lane, at about 4 a.m. They were an Arnold man, 18; a St. Louis man, 17; a 16-year-old girl and three 14-year-old girls. Police found, during a search of the suspects’ car, four containers of alcohol Officers also learned one suspect is wanted by police. Police released the juveniles to their parents and detained the two adults.

June 12

Vehicle Stolen-A woman reported her just purchased 200 black Ford Explorer stolen from a parking lot at 504 Jeffco Blvd., the address for gas station, at about 3:30 p.m. The owner was inside the store and left her vehicle unlocked and running, police said. Police described a suspect as a white man wearing a black tank top.

Warrant Arrest, Handgun Taken—During a traffic stop on northbound I-55 at Highway 141, police arrested an Arnold man, 22, on an outstanding warrant. Police found and took a handgun in the car because the passenger in possession was on probation for felonies.

Tresspassing—Police responded to a trespassing call at 2158 Plaza Dr. Police learned the resident, a 44-year-old Arnold man, was wanted on warrants and arrested.

Stealing— security, 2150 Michigan Ave., detained an Arnold woman, 50, at about 8:20 p.m. Police arrested the woman after learning she allegedly stole about $128 in clothing.

Arrow Causes Property Damage—Police responded to a property damage call on Rosedale Court at about 8:30 p.m. A a fiberglass fishing arrow caused about $500 of damage to a garage door. The resident also reported sunglasses and a Garmin GPS missing from his work vehicle.

Missing Car—A burgundy 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis with Illinois license plates was reported stolen between 6:15 p.m. and 9:43 p.m., at 806 Arnold Commons Dr., the address for restaurant. The car’s estimated value was $1,400.

Leaving without Paying a Restaurant Bill—Police traveled to 22 Arnold Park Mall, the address for the St. Louis Sports Zone-Arnold, to investigate a complaint of patrons refusing to pay their bill. Police arrested a St. Louis man, 27, on an outstanding parole warrant.

June 13

Trespassing, Interfering with a Police Investigation—Police received a complaint about trespassing at a Lee Drive home. The resident said her daughter’s boyfriend, who police ordered to stay away from the building, was inside the home. Officers found the St. Louis man, 21, and arrested him. Officers also charged the daughter, 23, with interfering with a police investigation after she allegedly lied about her boyfriend’s location.

Missing License Plates—Both license plates were reported stolen from a vehicle near the between 10:45 a.m. and noon.

Stealing—Walmart security detained an Arnold woman, 37, after she left the store without paying for about $40 worth of makeup and nail products. Police arrested the woman at about 1 p.m. and released her on a court summons.

Stealing—Kohl’s security detained a 21-year-old Arnold man at about 4:40 p.m. when he was accused of leaving without paying for $222 worth of clothing. Police arrested and booked the man and later learned he was wanted on a seatbelt warrant. Police held him in lieu of a bond payment.

Driving While Influenced—An Imperial woman, 46, faces driving while influenced charges after police investigated property damage at Jeffco Boulevard at 5:30 p.m. The woman refused to take a breath test. Police booked her and later released her to a sober driver.

Shooting—Police investigated a shooting at Richardson Place Road at about midnight, where a victim reported a gun shot to the face during an argument with two strangers. The victim went to St. Anthony’s Medical Center for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

June 14

Property Damage—Police investigated an argument between a man and a 48-year-old St. Louis man on Lincoln Drive at about 4 p.m. When the victim threatened to call police, the suspect allegedly broke his cell phone, which was valued at $40.

Forgery—Two Texas women face forgery charges after they reportedly tried to buy Walmart gift card at 2201 Michigan Ave., with a stolen credit card. The women, 39 of Houston and 43 of Humble, Texas, were searched. Police found gift cards totaling $5,400, along with merchandise, money and credit cards in various names. Police arrested the women until Secret Service agents arrived to take them for interviews.
