A 52-year-old man was injured in the scuffle.

An Ironton woman broke into an Imperial home on Aug. 9, attacking and injuring the homeowner with a knife until his son disarmed her, police said.

Christina Fudge, 21, was charged with burglary, armed criminal action and assault. She is held in Jefferson County Jail on a $250,000 cash-only bond.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies arrived around 10:30 p.m. to find the 52-year-old owner of a home in the 3600 block of Morgan Way Drive had injuries to his upper torso. The man said he'd heard noises in his house and confronted a woman, who was armed with a knife, police said.

The man's son heard a scuffle between his father and the burglar. He came downstairs, disarmed the woman and held her down until deputies arrived, police said.
