Third grade students at Ballwin Elementary School participated in a service project for The Midwest Doberman Rescue during their fall party on Oct. 27. Students made posters and helped with adoption notifications.
In preparation for the event, students performed good deeds at home to earn treats and donations for the homeless animals. Instead of being rewarded themselves, students donated their rewards. The school collected leashes, treats, collars and gift cards, among other items. Below is a recap of the items collected by the third grade classes at Ballwin Elementary. These items will benefit Midwest Doberman Rescue:

• $30 in gas cards

• 12 dog toys
• 20 boxes/bags of dog treats
• 4 cans of dog food
• 1 bottle of dog shampoo
• 2 dog bowls
• 2 bottles Pine Sol cleaner
Students also made thank you cards in conjunction with this service project.
