Oak Brook Students Collect Toys for USO

Students at , in the Parkway School District, collected books and stuffed animals for the Book Buddy program.  Book Buddy matches new or gently used books with a new or gently used stuffed animal or doll.  The books and toys are packaged and sent to Operation Homefront or the USO.  The kindergarten and third grade students at Oak Brook donated 310 Book Buddies. The students participated in the program for their service learning project. 

Operation Homefront provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors.  The USO fulfills its mission of lifting the spirits of America’s troops and their families.
