Walgreens Pharmicies Offering Free Blood-Pressure Testing

Walgreens will be offering free blood pressure testing at pharmacies and take-care clinics throughout February, the company announced this month.

The drug store chain also will donate $1 for each blood pressure test conducted in February to the American Heart Association, up to $100,000, the company said in a media statement.

When this initiative was offered in 2011, majority of the 32,000 test-takers had blood pressures outside of the reccomended range, Walgreens representatives said.
