Ballwin Board to Address Police Pensions, Pet Chickens
The Ballwin Board of Aldermen is scheduled to meet Monday evening at the Polce and Court Center.

The Ballwin Board of Aldermen is scheduled to address proposals for changes to the pension system for city police and consider a proposal permitting pet chickens in the city.
The proposals before board members would put Ballwin police under the LAGERS, the Missouri Local Government Employee Retirement System, which provides defined benefit plans for the rest of the city’s employees.
Police's current pension plan operates as a defined contribution plan, and is funded entirely by police's own contributions, determined based on a percentage of wages, and then placed in individual investment funds chosen by the employees. The council to discuss the proposed changes.
