SynCare Lays Off 29 Employees
Indianapolis-based SynCare calls the move a 'temporary reduction in workforce.'

SynCare Missouri, a healthcare management company near Ballwin, laid off 29 employees for up to seven weeks in a move labeled a "temporary reduction in workforce."
The employees were notified of the move on Friday. Company representatives said all employees will be compensated for work to date, and said employee benefits "do continue for a period of time."
The employees will have the option of being called back to work on September 30 or possibly sooner. Those employees also "will retain their seniority based on original date of hire."

Stephanie DeKempe is chairman and CEO for SeKayi Holdings, the parent company of SynCare Missouri.
“We are sensitive to the fact that some employees will be discontent during this time and we will do our best to address their concerns,” DeKempe said in a written statement.

According to the SynCare website, the company provides a variety of services to both public and private insurers, including coordinating care being administered by multiple service providers, implementing programs meant to reduce care costs and providing home-based nursing care.
SynCare LLC maintains corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, IN. Although the Missouri business is referred to as the Ballwin office, its address at 13545 Barrett Parkway Drive is roughly 2 miles east of Route 141 outside the city limits.
