Ellisville Dogs Have Their Day (or 2)
The City of Ellisville is hosting two 'Pooch Plunges' as dog park fundraisers this Thursday and Saturday.
Dogs and their owners can splash for a good cause Thursday night and early Saturday at the in Ellisville.
The Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the city's 'Pooch Plunge,' when dogs have the chance to work on their water skills and enjoy some time in the water before fall is here.
Proceeds raised at the two events will go toward the cost of building a dog park at Bluebird Park near the pool, which will be paid for exclusively with donations and fundraisers. Reel previously estimated the park's total cost .

The two events also will feature the Gateway Dock Dogs, a group of athletic St. Louis-area dogs scheduled to exhibit their diving skills.
The Pooch Plunge is planed for 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday. The cost is $3 per person, and $7 for each dog he or she accompanies (children age 2 and under are free). Access is limited to two dogs per handler.
