North Pointe Fundraiser Makes a Splash
The North Point Aquatic Center helped raise money this weekend that will go toward restoring Ballwin's original schoolhouse.
In an effort to finish restoring Ballwin's , rubber ducks helped save the day Saturday — or more accurately, save the night — as people patronized the North Pointe Aquatic Center for its .
The event on Saturday drew more than 350 people, which helped raise $270 through the "duck swim" event, where people paid for a rubber duck to race in their name down the arduous waters that are the North Pointe's 'lazy river.' An additional impromptu $50 was raised when Aquatic Manager and Parks employee Adam Pepper was asked to do a "historic belly flop," which prompted cheers from kids in attendance.
