Rockwood Students Earn Scholarships
Alpha Delta Kappa Sonority for Educators Selects 2018 Winners

Beta Xi, The Rockwood Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, the international honorary for women educators, is proud to announce their 2018 scholarship recipients. Each year the chapter selects recipients through a Rockwood School District-wide application process. Each winner must be planning to pursue a college degree in education. Grace Doherty, Marquette High School, received the $1,000 McVicar Scholarship, which honors former Rockwood Teacher Jan McVicar. Grace will attend Southeast Missouri State University. $500 scholarships were awarded to four young women. Raegan Holland, Eureka High School; and Miranda Georgia, Lafayette High School, will attend Southeast Missouri State University. Natalie Olson, EHS, and Quinn Peterson, EHS, will both attend Missouri State University. The women of Alpha Delta Kappa are grateful to enable these future teachers to pursue their passion for education. (Grace Doherty pictured)
