Special Council Meeting Called For Walmart TIF Legislation

The Ellisville City Council called a special council meeting for 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2014. The Walmart TIF legislation is listed on the agenda for a second reading.

A controversial Walmart TIF bill might be approved Wednesday night. The Ellisville City Council posted an agenda for a special council meeting to be held at 5:45 p.m. June 26 at City Hall.

On the agenda is Bill #3318, which would authorize Tax Increment Financing notes for RPA 1, a redevelopment project area that includes the site for a proposed Ellisville Walmart. The Walmart TIF legislation received initial approval in a first reading at the Ellisville City Council's meeting last week.

Another bill on the agenda is related to possibility relocating Ellisville City Hall further west on Manchester.
