Sun Sets on Ballwin's 2011 Concert Series

The last installment of this summer's concert series in Ballwin is set to shine with an acoustic trio Wednesday night.

The string-based trio MUSYC will headline the final performance of the 2011 season for Ballwin's Sunset Concert Series.

The group (whose title is an amalgamation of the three members' last names) relies on sweet vocal harmonies and sounds heavily rooted in American tradition, with a set likely to span from singer-songwriters such as James Taylor and Joni Mitchell to classic-rock groups such as The Byrds, The Beatles and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

“Every song we do is a song that we absolutely love, and I think it really shows,” MUSYC member Roberta Mueller told Patch. “We just love what we do and we’re very good friends. It’ll be a very enjoyable evening.
