What's It Take To Make a Great Chicken Salad Sandwich?

See which local eatery got its specialty featured in a recent Post-Dispatch food section.

The day after the St. Louis Post-Dispatch food section featured the chicken salad sandwich from 6 North Cafe in Ballwin, the restaurant couldn't serve it fast enough.

"It was a very interesting day, very, very busy," said Aaron Izaguirre, a manager at 6 North, whose job includes prepping the popular recipe. "We ran through three days worth of chicken salad—definitely more than we normally serve."

Izaguirre said the recipe involves roasting a whole chicken for about two hours and mixing the chicken with a dressing of sour cream, a little mayonnaise, mustard, parsley and celery. The Post-Dispatch ran the recipe with its brief feature on 6 North on March 19.
