Wreaths Laid in Tribute to Veterans by Volunteers
Wreaths Laid to Honor Veterans by Volunteers at Historic Coldwater Cemetery

The Mary Hempstead Lisa Chapter, National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) laid Holiday wreaths on Veterans graves on National Wreaths Across America Day. The Wreaths Across America volunteer network laid wreath on graves of where veterans lay to rest in America and beyond.
Expanding their tradition, the Mary Hempstead Lisa Chapter decided to include the historic Coldwater Cemetery where 33 Patriots from the Revolutionary War to Viet Nam are buried. Coldwater Cemetery has been on the National Registrar of Historic Places since 2004. It is considered the oldest protestant cemetery west of the Mississippi River still in use.
"We are proud of the service of our patriots and want to make sure their role in our country is not forgotten," said Janet Webb, Regent for the Mary Hempstead Lisa Chapter.
