
The need to please is something most women adhere to instinctively. This is what we have been taught since childhood. When we desire to please our parents, significant others, children, friends and co-workers over our own needs we experience consequences. Ignoring our own needs may result in experiencing feelings of depression and anxiety. However, when we learn to accept ourselves the excessive need to meet other's expectations over our own greatly lessens.
