Chocolate Shop Moves to Make Way for Dentistry Practice in Chesterfield
Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate moved a few doors down to give the dentistry the space it needed.
Perhaps there's irony in the fact that a chocolate shop had to move to make room for a dentist...but that's what's happened in Chesterfield.
A pediatric dentistry practice that has two other locations in the St. Louis area is looking to expand into the Clarkson Square shopping center just south of Chesterfield Parkway.
St. Louis Pediatric Dentistry took over space in the plaza that had been leased by Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate — which in turn moved five doors down in the same plaza to make way.
A Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate employee said the move happened in July, which was a good thing for both parties. The chocolate shop is happier with the new location, sandwiched between two retailers (instead of neighboring an empty storefront). And the dentistry needed the extra space.
Aimee Nassif, planning and development services director for the city of Chesterfield, said the city approved on Aug. 2 the new tenant, which she identified as St. Louis Pediatric Dentistry, to build out interior space at the location, very close to Toys R Us.
The practice has locations in O'Fallon at 4142 Keaton Crossing Blvd.; and in Des Peres at 2325 Dougherty Ferry Road.
No response yet from the dentistry about when the new location will open; construction had not yet begun at the location on Tuesday.
