Operation Food Search's Golf Tournament Raises More Than $80,000

26th annual "Swing to Heal Hunger" fundraiser to benefit nonprofit's programs

Operation Food Search (OFS), a non-profit hunger relief organization, recently raised $81,820 at its 26th annual golf tournament held at WingHaven Country Club. All proceeds will go toward ending childhood hunger and family food insecurity in the St. Louis bi-state region.

Jim Goebel and Art Kerckhoff were the event’s co-chairs. The fundraiser was sponsored by numerous companies including Ascension and Seeger Toyota.

“This was one of our most successful golf tournament fundraisers in our history,” said OFS Executive Director Kristen Wild. “We appreciate everyone’s hard work and dedication to our agency, which continuously works to support our mission to end childhood hunger.”

Founded in 1981, Operation Food Search (OFS) is a hunger relief organization that provides food and nutrition education. With a strategic focus aimed at ending childhood hunger, OFS empowers families with a range of programs and services proven to reduce food insecurity and increase access to healthy and affordable food. The agency helps feed more than 200,000 individuals on a monthly basis – one-third of which are children – through a network of 330 community partners in 31 Missouri and Illinois counties.
