Clayton Hair Dresser Opens Cheveux in Brentwood, Grand Opening May 5

Jerry Dial dressed hair for 10 years at Christopher's Hair Salon and eight and a half before that at Façade Limited, in Clayton. Now he's moved into his own shop.

Cheveux, at 2514 S. Brentwood Boulevard, has opened in Brentwood.

He said he's fortunate to have clients who put up with some moving dust, and as he adds hair dressers more clients will follow.

"Once you start getting a flow of clients from each hair dresser that works here the word travels fast," he said. "Since I only do hair, a lot of clients get nails, massages done in other salons, so that’s how news really travels."

The shop has four wash bowls, a coat closet and full coloring room, a room to change into smocks and a coffee bar with complimentary, cookies, coffee, water and wine. There are eight stations and each station accommodates two hair dressers. Dial said he's looking for more dressers.

Taryn Lamken makes the appointments, and takes care of the front of the shop.

There will be a grand opening on May 5 from 5 to 7p.m.
