For the reporting period of Monday, March 8th – Sunday, March 14th, CPD officers responded to 422 calls for service, including 12 automobile accidents & 26 calls to assist the CFD. Among those calls were the following incidents:

A resident of the 6300 block of Alamo reported hearing their Honda Element making unusual noises when they started the engine Monday morning. A quick check underneath the vehicle revealed the muffler was lying on the ground & the catalytic converter was missing. A neighbor's security camera captured video of a small, 4-door passenger car double parking next to the Honda Element 3 different times between 1:30 am & 2:20 am Monday.
A resident fell victim to an online scam Monday afternoon when a fraudster convinced her to purchase gift cards from local stores in exchange for fixing her broken laptop.

Monday night, parkgoers at Shaw Park Monday reported overhearing a woman screaming. Officers contacted the woman & learned her boyfriend had physically assaulted her. The man admitted to assaulting his girlfriend & officers arrested him for domestic assault 3rd degree. The case was presented to the St. Louis County Prosecutor's Office & is under advisement pending additional investigation.
Residents of the 6300 block of Forsyth awoke Wednesday morning to find their vehicle missing from the driveway. The car was parked in front of the home Tuesday evening & was left unlocked with the keys inside. University City PD Detectives are investigating an early morning burglary in the 7200 block of Forsyth & have reason to believe the burglary suspects used the same vehicle. The car was later Wednesday found abandoned in St. Louis City. The investigations are ongoing.
Fontbonne Security Officers reported a man was wandering around the campus Thursday afternoon. Officers contacted the man, who is neither a student nor a staff member, & advised him he would be charged with trespassing if he returned to the campus. The same man was later reportedly looking into vehicles parked in the alleyway of the 6300 block of S. Rosebury.
A woman reported her vehicle was damaged overnight or early Friday morning while parked in a hotel garage in the central business district. She stated her ex-boyfriend sent her multiple text & photo messages overnight, showing he was waiting by her car. When she returned to the vehicle Friday morning, she found several cuts in the vehicle's soft convertible top & 3 of the tires slashed. She reported a similar incident to SLMPD Officers in late February when someone punctured 2 of her tires. The investigation is ongoing.
A late-night traffic stop in the area of Glenridge & Clayton Rd. Friday resulted in the driver's arrest for not having a valid license & possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued summonses to the Clayton Municipal Court.
Finally, CPD Officers responded to the 8100 block of Bonhomme just before midnight Friday night, where witnesses reported a woman was banging on an office building door, causing a disturbance. When officers arrived, they noted a vehicle parked on the rear parking lot with the engine running. Officers approached the car & found a woman sleeping in the driver's seat open cans of alcohol nearby. When officers attempted to speak with the woman, she sped away from the scene, narrowly avoiding striking the officers & their vehicles. She was later arrested by St. Ann PD for Assault 1st Degree against a Law Enforcement Officer & resisting arrest by flight.
