Dr. Cyndi Hebenstreit Stepping Down As ECC Principal

She has agreed to assume the role of Early Childhood Transition Coordinator for one year.

After two decades of extraordinary service to the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District community, Dr. Cyndi Hebenstreit is stepping down as principal of the MRH Early Childhood Center. A search for a new principal will begin immediately. As part of a planned transition, Dr. Hebenstreit has agreed to assume the role of Early Childhood Transition Coordinator for one year. In her new role, Dr. Hebenstreit will assist with essential post-COVID recovery efforts including the re-opening of the pre-school, intervention services for PK-2 students, PK-6 curriculum revisions, virtual learning planning and other early learning program needs.

“Serving as the principal of the ECC has been both a great honor and privilege over the past 20 years,” said Dr. Hebenstreit. “I look forward to being an integral part of our reentry efforts in the coming year.”

The MRH Board of Education and the entire staff of the “School as Studio” are deeply grateful to Dr. Hebenstreit for her tireless devotion to the academic development of our youngest learners and for the boundless energy she brings to the ECC every single day.
