Richard Picciotto will speak about his Sept. 11, 2001, experience Thursday, Sept. 15 at the J.C. Penney Building and Conference Center at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
In 2001, Picciotto was working as a battalion commander for the New York City Fire Department. On Sept. 11 that year, he became trapped in the World Trade Center's North Tower and spent four hours waiting to be rescued after its collapse.
