Dr. Judy Willis, an expert on research about learning and the brain, will lead the discussion. Willis is an adjunct faculty member of the University of California's Graduate School of Education.

Quoting from a news release by the school:

"The video game model that activates perseverance can be applied to learning experiences at school and at home so children develop the thinking habits they need to succeed in school, work, and life. The key is providing learning experiences that fit children's individual levels of achievable challenge and provide frequent feedback about their incremental progress to desired goals."

The free program is open to the public and begins at 7 p.m. Reservations are requested. To reserve a place, email speakerseries@wilsonschool.com.

Limited parking is available onsite. Participants are asked to arrive early, follow parking signs and keep driveways clear.
