This event is being hosted by The Angel Band Project, which was created in the memory of the late sister of MRHE teacher Tim Butz.

MRHE teacher Tim Butz volunteers for an organization called The Angel Band Project. This organization was created in memory of Tim's sister who was murdered in Seattle in 2009. April is Sexual Assault Awareness month and Tim's group is hosting a self-defense workshop via Zoom. Details below:

April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), during which we want to emphasize the importance of learning, educating, and spreading awareness about sexual assault.
On Wednesday, April 14th, Thrive STL and The Angel Band Project are teaming up to host a Sexual Assault Awareness and Self Defense workshop via Zoom. Registration is completely free-- those who wish to attend must simply fill out an RSVP form. (You'll be entered to win a T-shirt when you RSVP!)
