Officers responded to the 800 block of Westwood Monday afternoon after a resident reported repeated damage to her vehicle. She stated her vehicle was damaged by a sharp object, possibly a key, 3 separate times in the past month & a half. She could not identify any potential suspects or witnesses.
A man reported the passenger side of his truck's front bumper was damaged Monday while parked at a construction site. He believes another vehicle backed into his truck, causing the damage. However, after questioning his coworkers, he could not identify anyone he suspects of causing the damage, nor did he identify any witnesses.

Tuesday morning, a man & a woman were alerted to suspicious activity on their respective debit & credit cards. Both subjects discovered their wallets were stolen from their vehicles sometime overnight Monday or early Tuesday morning. The cars were left unlocked while parked in the 6800 block of Wydown Blvd. Further investigation revealed unknown subjects used the cards for purchases at two different convenience stores in a neighboring jurisdiction. An investigation is ongoing.
An early morning traffic stop in the 300 block of N. Meramec Thursday resulted in the arrest of a passenger for possession of marijuana. He was released from the scene with a summons to appear in the Clayton Municipal Court.
Last week we reported officers responded to St. Mark's Lutheran Church after two windows were damaged. Officers returned Thursday afternoon when church staff discovered additional damage. This time, an unknown subject threw a rock through a stained-glass window, causing approximately $600 in damage. An investigation is ongoing & we ask anyone with information regarding these incidents to contact the CPD.
CPD officers responded to the DeMun area Saturday evening for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The caller described a white pickup truck, possibly a GMC, obstructing traffic & otherwise driving erratically through the area. She last observed the truck near DeMun & Clayton Rd.
A resident reported she used an online platform to sell a piece of furniture. Saturday afternoon, two subjects met her to complete the sale & presented her with a $100 bill as part of the payment. When she attempted to use the bill for a purchase at a nearby grocer Sunday evening, the clerk refused to accept the bill & informed her it was counterfeit.
Finally, officers responded to CVS Sunday evening for a report of stolen merchandise. The store manager explained she was conducting a store walkthrough when she found several empty merchandise packages discarded throughout the store. The total value of the missing merchandise was approximately $140. The manager reviewed the security footage from the evening but could not determine who was responsible for the theft(s).
