Monday morning, a resident in the 700 block of Westwood discovered someone damaged his motorcycle when they attempted to steal it from his building’s shared garage. He last saw the motorcycle parked in his assigned space midday on Sunday. When he entered the garage Monday, he discovered the garage door open & his motorcycle laid on its side in the opening.

Sometime overnight Sunday, person(s) unknown stole a vehicle from the 7700 block of Davis Dr. St. Louis County PD located the vehicle abandoned in Jennings Tuesday.

CVS employees reported 2 women stole miscellaneous merchandise from the store just after midnight Tuesday. The women fled the area in a dark-colored Chevrolet sedan driven by a man.

At approximately 12:30 am Tuesday, officers responded to a single-vehicle accident in the area of southbound I-170 at Forest Park Parkway. While traveling westbound on the entrance ramp, the driver crossed over the concrete divider into the eastbound lane before striking the guardrail, flipping & landing in a ditch. While on the scene, officers discovered the driver was intoxicated & arrested him for DWI. Due to his injuries, he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

While walking through the central business district Tuesday morning, a resident noted a glass door was shattered on a vacant building. CPD Officers searched the building & found no additional damage. The property owner was informed of the damage & advised they would arrange to have the building secured.

A Kentucky couple reported someone fraudulently used their credit card to book a room at the Ritz Carlton Tuesday night. The room was reserved online using a name the couple did not recognize. They were still in possession of their card & were unsure when, where, or how it was compromised. An investigation is ongoing.

Thursday afternoon, a resident in the 8100 block of Stratford reported 2 packages were stolen from her front porch. Ring doorbell footage showed a man wearing a dark pinstriped coat take the packages. He was last seen walking north into University City. Investigation continues.

Officers responded to Walgreens Friday morning for a report of a larceny. After taking a case of beer from the cooler, a man responded to the restroom located at the rear of the store. Employees identified the man as someone who had been previously banned from the store. After finding the man in the restroom with the beer, officers arrested him for shoplifting & trespassing.

While patrolling the central business district early Sunday morning, officers discovered 3 intoxicated subjects were underage & in possession of fake ID cards. They were all arrested for false identification & were released with summonses to appear in the Clayton Municipal Court.

An early morning traffic stop in the area of Wydown Blvd. & Westwood Sunday resulted in the arrest of the driver for DWI.

Later Sunday morning, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of S. Hanley Rd. & Clayton Rd. Following an on-scene investigation, the driver was arrested for DWI.

Just before 5 am Sunday, 2 men entered CVS & removed 6 bottles of alcohol from the shelves. An employee informed them the store could not complete an alcohol sale due to the time of day. The men bypassed the employee & all points of sale & exited the store with the merchandise. Witnesses last saw them leaving the area in an unknown make or model maroon SUV.

Finally, officers returned to CVS Sunday evening after a man stole a cash register drawer. Witnesses reported the man entered the store & went directly to the register, damaged the machine & stole the cash drawer. He left the area in a black SUV. An investigation is ongoing.
