A Plan For Apartments, Honoring The Teacher & A Big Rivalry
We're looking at a few things making headlines around Creve Coeur this week.

- Monday night, the Creve Coeur Planning and Zoning Commission meets and is scheduled to hear a request by the backers of an apartment complex proposed for Old Olive Street Road. Aspects of the "Vanguard at Creve Coeur" project have been in front of city leaders over the past few months. The commission on Monday would address a request for rezoning and a conditional use permit.
- Monday night, your friendly Patch Local Editor will be covering the Chicago Bulls-Memphis Grizzlies NBA preseason game for our Patch friends in Chicago. We're hoping to squirrel away a few nuts of interest to folks here in St. Louis too.
- Wednesday night, the Parkway School Board will hold its regularly scheduled meeting and among the items on the agenda is a move to recognize a Ross Elementary School Physical Education teacher recently named as the top teacher in the category in the state.
- Friday night, the De Smet Jesuit Spartans and CBC Cadets will hook up in another round of the schools' storied rivalry. The two Metro Catholic Conference teams last met on the gridiron in an epic postseason contest where the Spartans exploded in the second half for a 56-35 win.
