Have your feelings of anxiety or depression limited social interactions, educational or work opportunities, quality of family relationships? Often, individuals experience depressive symptoms due to self-imposed limitations due to anxious feelings.
You may want to ask yourself if your anxiety is reality based. Is it truly a threat or does it simply feel like a threat? We usually become anxious to keep us feeling safe in a situation. Tell yourself that anxiety will never really keep you safe. Lastly, ask yourself if there is anything left for you to do. Is there anything left for you to do? If not, this is something you cannot change.
