School Administrator Turns Down Six-Figure Salary To Help Kids

“School Administrator Turns Down Six-Figure Salary To Hit The Road To Help Kids”
(St. Louis, Missouri): Veteran school administrator, Dr. Bryan Pearlman, decided to turn down his six-figure contract and instead dedicate himself to traveling the country to positively impact students by educating and training teachers, principals, counselors, social workers, parents, and families. The focus of Dr. Pearlman’s efforts is on supporting students that have been traumatized, working with students that have explosive behaviors, and differentiating instruction to ensure that all students succeed.

Dr. Pearlman shares his reasons for embarking on this mission, “35 million children have experienced at least one traumatic event in their life and one in five students has or will have a serious mental illness. It is so important to get out in the community to help educators and families to be better equipped at helping children to be successful in school and life. We can positively impact an entire generation.”

The decision to travel and help educators has the support of Dr. Pearlman’s wife, “My wife Lena is a mental health therapist. She has seen the needs of children and teens grow exponentially in the past few years in her practice. We have had so many late night conversations about how to best help improve this situation. This idea was definitely a team decision and one that we are both excited about.”

To date, Dr. Pearlman has presented to over 12,000 educators at 75 schools, districts, state conferences, and universities. He describes his goal for the next year, “It is my plan to be in all 50 US states and to train over 100,000 people which in turn will impact over a million students.”
